Aaron Hamilton appointed Ireland Women’s Cricket Coach

Aaron Hamilton, a Western Australian, has been announced as Ireland Women’s Cricket Coach.  With over 17 years’ experience working in different sporting and cricketing arenas, Hamilton is well qualified for the post.

Hamilton is a level three Cricket Australia Coach and will relocate from Australia to Ireland to take up his new role. Hamilton is also keen to be involved with the youth programmes to ensure the skill level remains high moving from Junior to Senior.

Hamilton leaves his post as bowling and assistant coach at Western Fury to take up the new role with Cricket Ireland agreeing to a two year contract. The Australian is a specialist bowling coach which bodes well for the Women’s Cricket team.

This year the Irish team aim for promotion to the ECB (England & Wales Cricket Board) County Championship Division 1, will compete in a Twenty20 International series with Australia and a World Twenty20 Qualifier in Thailand.
