Former All Ireland Ladies Football winner Nora Stapleton is taking on the world.
From Inishowen in Donegal, Nora is a current Ireland rugby international and is employed by the IRFU to promote this year’s World Cup in Ireland.
The Development Executive took up Ladies Football at UCD and played in Croke Park ‘numerous times’ before switching codes to rugby.
‘I loved it’, reflects Stapleton on her career with Donegal. ‘I probably have some regrets that I didn’t achieve as much as I could have but I have fantastic memories of playing in the county jersey’.
Nora also discusses the current Donegal team’s prospects after they finished top of Lidl NFL Division One and are preparing to play Galway in next week’s semi-finals.
