Free Women’s Judo Sessions

On Monday the 24th of April at 7pm, Lusk Judo Kan (Club) will begin teaching FREE judo sessions to all women for 6 weeks. This is to encourage self-defense, fitness and flexibility in conjunction with Sport Ireland. If you have never done any martial arts before, this is the perfect time to start. All you need to begin, is yourself and a tracksuit.

The classes will be taught by Ellie Dennis who has been learning Judo since she was just 4 years old.  Her father taught her and her brothers when they were younger, and she still spends time coaching and competing with the next generation. According to Ellie, Judo is like a big family, everyone knows young and old, you can go anywhere in the world and it feels like you are at home doing it.

Her two personal highlights include training in the Judo Headquarters (Kodakan) in Japan and representing Ireland in the World Championships in Birmingham in 1999.

The classes themselves will be introductory, and give you just a basic taste of Judo. If this sounds good to you, we would love to see you there  and make sure to bring your friends. If you have any queries, please feel free to contact Ellie at 087-756-1069.
